Dear JFK,
I need the "Electrical Fault Finding" and General Tuning/Moped/2-Stroke but I can't because my Membership is pending. "The community administrator has not yet approved your application"
My e-mail is jorsalsire@gmail.com. Can you send me this two manuals?
Thank you.
Jorge
does anyone know the spoke torque for the rear rim on the NC50 ?
Uncle Denny... I haven't seen any spec numbers on exact torque.
Is this a brand new rim? You could undo another good spoke on the wheel and count the revolutions. Then, put the new spoke on with the same revolutions.
Where did you purchase your spokes?? Online?? if so, can you post the part site please.
Good Luck
Hi there,
I just got a 1978 Honda express given to me. It was seized, or so i thought. I started to tear it down thinking it was going to be simple, and the motor is, but the gear box , well, i dont want to rip into it without some advise. I got the engine spinning now, but only counter clockwise. the kick start wont turn the motor, and was wondering if anyone has had this problem before, and how complicated of a fix is it. It ran when he parked it, so, if i can figure out the problem, it will again run....Thanks. Darren in canada.
I just received a free NX50 Express SR. There is a lot of shared tech between the 2, but there is an electric starter and a 12v power system. I was wondering if you had a source for a copy of the NX50 manual.
i just bought a 1982 NX50 and i also need a shop manuial. im a mechanic but i need a wireing diagram. any ideas?
This is the best thing I could find. You would have to pay ($32.95+shipping):

Hey I am needing some help. Im have oil leaking out of the refill indicator window on the left side of the tank. This is the only tank I own and they dont make anymore of those dipsticks to replace it. Any ideas on what I can do? I tried getting that grommet out with the glass ball, couldnt get it done. Anyways if anyone has a technique on how to get it out and maybe real seal it I would very appreciate a response. Here is whats going on.

thanks

Well I got the ball out and it was indeed cracked. I took a peice of aluminum and made it just a little bigger then the see threw oil hole. Took some 2 part epoxy and glued it onto the side of the tank. So far so good! Seals great, only down side is you cant see the oil lvl in the tank just have to stay on top and make sure it doesnt get to low in the tank. But I painted the peice of aluminum orange to match the bike. Blends right in.So if any of you guys have this problem later down the road, this was a great 0 dollar fix.
Thanks
Josh
got any links to an NU50 manual?
Hi! Got a newly accuring problem with my 1980 Honda NC50. We've checked everything we can think of and are stumped. The scooter is running but keeps getting air in the fuel line. If you take the line off and let it fill back up it will run fine again (for a while). You'll get it started and it will run great but a couple blocks down the road it putters out again (no fuel). It keeps happening very often. We've cleaned the fuel tank, we've checked seals, we've checked the petcock. Any idea why this is happening? Any advice??
Unknown....had similar problem as yours stated above...by chance, I got mine running A+ by adjusting the fuel on/off/reserve valve to "off"....don't know why/how, but that fixed it....just a thought to try out....

Thank you so much for posting this manual! I just recently purchased an 81' express and intend on fixing it up and restoring it. So thanks again!
Thanks for the Manual, I have two NC50's, got the Clymer manual but this is better, one Express I took out of a dumpster and got a replacement rear wheel for it and cleaned out the plugged up exhaust port and muffler, cooked the muffler in the BQ grill, smokey but it worked, and its back on the road
Mike,
You're very welcome. Do you have a link for the PDF of the Clymer manual I can add to the website? Also... send me some pictures of your NC50 and I will post them on the website. Out of the dumpster? From rags to "riches"! Glad you're having fun!!!
